Role Summary
We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Lab Head / Lab Incharge to manage testing and quality control activities for latex, nitrile, and rubber glove manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for raw material testing, in-process testing, finished product testing, documentation, calibration control, and timely reporting of deviations to QA and Production.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct and supervise routine testing of latex, compounds, chemicals, and finished gloves.
· Perform and monitor tests such as pH, viscosity, latex maturity/chloroform test, cloud test, TSC/DRC, tensile strength, elongation, force at break, dimensions, thickness, moisture, powder content, visual defects, and water leak/pinhole testing.
· Ensure testing is carried out as per approved SOPs, quality plan, product specifications, and applicable standards.
· Maintain accurate lab records, test reports, calibration records, sample traceability, and daily testing summaries.
· Review in-process and final product test results and immediately escalate any deviation or failure to QA and Production.
· Ensure proper use, maintenance, verification, and calibration of lab instruments.
Required Experience
· 3-5 years of experience in a rubber, latex, nitrile glove, polymer, medical device, or similar manufacturing lab.
· Hands-on experience with physical and chemical testing of rubber or dipped products.
· Experience in medical gloves or medical products will be preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Candidate should have practical knowledge of:
· pH meter, Brookfield viscometer, Ford cup, tensile testing machine, thickness gauge, weighing balance, hot air oven, aging oven, water leak test setup, and basic wet chemistry equipment.
· Prior experience in medical device, sterile product, pharmaceutical, microbiology, or EO sterilization-related laboratory work will be preferred.
· Working knowledge of Biological Indicator (BI) testing for EO sterilization cycles, including incubation, observation, result recording will be preferred
· Glove testing standards such as EN 455, ASTM D3577, ASTM D3578, ASTM D6319, ISO 10282, and ISO 2859-1/AQL sampling.
· Basic QMS documentation, calibration control, nonconformance handling, and audit readiness.
Qualification
B.Sc. / M.Sc. / Diploma / Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Rubber Technology, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
