The Senior Analyst – Control Testing is responsible for delivering high-quality control testing across Talent & Culture (T&C) processes and employee lifecycle activities.
The role focuses on translating risk standards into clear testing plans, ensuring all testing is risk-based, well-governed, and completed within agreed timelines.
You will play a key role in improving the quality and consistency of control testing, driving continuous improvement, supporting automation initiatives, and strengthening risk awareness across the business.
You will also work closely with Control Owners to assess control effectiveness and support remediation actions where needed.
Additionally, this role acts as a role model for strong risk management by supporting capability building through training, knowledge sharing, and coaching.

Location: Bengaluru What will your day look like?
As a General Business Governance & Control Specialist (1st Line), you will:
Control Testing
Perform control testing across Talent & Culture processes, including employee lifecycle activities
Assess control design and operating effectiveness
Execute higher-risk testing aligned with risk standards and regulatory expectations
Identify non-compliance, control gaps, and systemic issues
Maintain high-quality documentation and audit-ready workpapers
Insights & Escalation
Analyse testing outcomes to identify trends, risks, and root causes
Escalate significant control weaknesses and emerging risks
Support tracking of remediation actions and challenge where required
Present findings in clear, actionable insights
Continuous Improvement
Support improvements in testing processes and automation
Contribute to enhancing tools, templates, and approaches
Share best practices across the team
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with control owners and stakeholders to strengthen controls
Provide constructive challenge and guidance
Collaborate with business teams and risk partners
Promote risk awareness and control discipline
What will you bring?
To grow and succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
8+ years of experience in risk, controls, compliance, audit, or assurance
Degree in Business, Risk, Finance, IT, or a related field (preferred)
Certifications in risk, compliance, or analytics (desirable)
Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, governance, and regulatory requirements
Experience in control testing and identifying gaps or non-compliance
Understanding of control design and operating effectiveness
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform evidence-based testing with clear documentation
Experience with risk systems, testing tools, and reporting platforms
Exposure to Power BI or Tableau (nice to have)
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to challenge, influence, and escalate when needed
Experience working in regulated environments
Understanding of first, second, and third lines of defence
Exposure to automation and process improvements
Ability to support methodology improvements and control uplift initiatives
