Senior DevOps Engineer
Position Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Experience: 6–8 years
Primary Skills: Microsoft Azure, GitHub, CI/CD, Argo CD, Kubernetes, Grafana, Helm, Terraform
Secondary Skills: Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Security, Authentication & Authorization, Azure SQL Database, Infrastructure as Code, High Availability & Disaster Recovery
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Argo CD, GitHub, CI/CD, Helm, and Grafana, along with a strong understanding of automation, cloud security, infrastructure as code, and Agile methodologies.
The candidate should have proven experience in building infrastructure and managing the deployment of React and .NET applications, as well as supporting production environments and leading DevOps initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using technologies such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
- Build, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure using Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, and other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Design and implement infrastructure and deployment solutions for React and .NET applications.
- Automate application deployments using Argo CD, Kubernetes, Helm, and related DevOps technologies.
- Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deploy and manage applications and services across Azure cloud environments.
- Design solutions that are scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-efficient, following the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Implement and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions in Azure.
- Monitor infrastructure and application performance using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
- Troubleshoot issues across cloud infrastructure, networking, databases, applications, and production environments.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including authentication, authorization, cryptography, and application security.
- Manage source control, repositories, build automation, release management, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams to improve software delivery processes.
- Ensure production environments meet required standards for performance, security, reliability, scalability, and availability.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, automation procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Lead, mentor, and guide DevOps engineers while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
Required Technical Knowledge
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure cloud services.
- Expertise in Azure PaaS services, including:
- Azure App Services
- Azure Functions
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Azure API Management
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Hands-on experience with Argo CD, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and caching solutions such as Redis.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK Stack.
- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols and cloud security practices.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and cloud networking.
- Understanding of distributed systems, architecture principles, and design patterns.
- Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and message brokers.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions using the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
- Experience implementing Azure Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Application & Infrastructure Experience
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in:
- Designing and provisioning infrastructure for React and .NET applications.
- Creating automated deployment pipelines for React and .NET applications.
- Deploying applications to Azure environments.
- Containerizing applications using Docker.
- Deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes/AKS.
- Implementing GitOps-based deployments using Argo CD.
- Managing application configuration and deployments using Helm.
- Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform/Terragrunt.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 6–8 years of demonstrable experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, software development, and/or production support.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience leading or mentoring DevOps engineers is preferred.
