Role Overview
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines used in Intraocular Lens (IOL) manufacturing. The role ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining required quality standards, GMP compliance, documentation accuracy, and cleanroom discipline.
Education & Qualification
- Minimum Qualification: ITI (Turner / Machinist / CNC Operator) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Preferred Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical / Production Engineering/ Plastic engineering from CIPET
- Experience:
- 2 – 5 years of experience in CNC machine operation
- Experience in medical device / precision manufacturing / cleanroom environment preferred
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Operations
- Operate CNC machines as per approved SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Load CNC programs and set machine parameters according to the Manufacturing BMR.
- Execute Production Orders following FIFO system.
- Ensure workstation productivity target of ≥ 98%.
- Perform line clearance before starting any new batch.
- Maintain batch-wise accountability throughout the production cycle.
- Properly hand over charge to the next shift operator.
2. Quality & Documentation
- Cross-check IOL quantities as mentioned in BMR before and after batch completion.
- Maintain rejection levels within specified norms.
- Perform in-process quality checks as per QC checkpoints in Manufacturing BMR.
- Fill BMR online accurately in compliance with GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
- Obtain Shift Incharge approval/signature after batch completion.
- Maintain all required production documents in the system.
3. Machine & Workplace Maintenance
- Ensure proper upkeep of CNC machine, microscope, measuring instruments, diamond tools, inserts, and work area.
- Maintain hygienic condition and cleanroom discipline.
- Ensure proper usage and cleanliness of apron, gloves, mask, and footwear (cleanroom slippers).
4. Compliance & Safety
- Adhere strictly to SOP, GMP, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure no major compliance violations during shift operations.
5. Skill Development
- Develop multi-skill capability within the department to support operational flexibility.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
