Position Summary
MSCR is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacist to manage the Investigational Product (IP) Room, oversee dispensing activities, and maintain inventory of dermatology study products used in clinical trials. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate storage, accountability, dispensing, and documentation of investigational products while maintaining compliance with protocol requirements, GCP guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Investigational Product (IP) Management

Manage daily operations of the Investigational Product (IP) Room.
- Receive, verify, store, and maintain investigational products as per protocol and sponsor requirements.
- Monitor and document storage conditions, including temperature and humidity logs.
- Ensure proper labeling, segregation, and secure storage of study products.
Product Dispensing

Dispense investigational and dermatology study products to study participants as per protocol and physician instructions.
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and accountability logs.
- Educate participants on product usage, storage, and compliance requirements when applicable.
- Track participant returns and reconcile used/unused study products.
Inventory Management

Maintain inventory of all dermatology study products and related supplies.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks and reconciliation activities.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages.
- Maintain accountability records for receipt, dispensing, return, destruction, and transfer of study products.
Documentation & Compliance

Ensure all IP-related documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Maintain source documents, accountability logs, temperature records, and inventory records.
- Support monitoring visits, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), SOPs, study protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordination & Support

Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators, Investigators, and Sponsors for IP management activities.
- Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and documentation queries.
- Participate in study initiation, training, and close-out activities as required.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm).
- Valid Pharmacist Registration with the State Pharmacy Council.
- 1–5 years of experience in pharmacy operations, clinical research, hospital pharmacy, or investigational product management.
- Experience handling dermatology products or clinical trial materials is preferred.
Required Skills

Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices and inventory management.
- Understanding of GCP and clinical trial processes is an advantage.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience managing Investigational Products (IP) in clinical trials.
- Experience handling sponsor audits and monitoring visits.
- Knowledge of temperature-controlled storage and accountability procedures.
