About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – R&D to join our Design & Research and Development team.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in mechanical equipment design, design calculations, product development and improvement of existing products. Candidates with practical experience in R&D / new product development in an Engineering or Manufacturing industry will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of mechanical equipment.
- Carry out R&D and new product development activities.
- Improve and modify existing products for better performance and efficiency.
- Perform design calculations for mechanical equipment, tanks and structures.
- Perform structural strength calculations and verify design suitability.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Conduct various trials, testing and validation at factory and customer sites.
- Provide technical support to Projects and Sales teams.
- Review techno-commercial offers for technical suitability.
- Verify technical datasheets and provide necessary technical approvals.
- Identify technical problems and develop practical engineering solutions.

Candidate Profile
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Design / R&D.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in equipment design and design calculations will be preferred.
- Should be able to understand engineering requirements and independently work on design-related assignments.
- Should be comfortable with factory/site visits for trials and testing.

Important
This position is specifically for candidates having experience in Mechanical Design and R&D / Product Development.
Candidates with only drafting experience or only routine CAD drawing experience may not be suitable for this position.
