Techno-Commercial Associate – Food Technologist
A Techno-Commercial Associate (Food Technologist) is responsible for handling both technical food production processes and commercial/business activities like sales coordination, client communication, costing, and product development support.
Position Summary
The role combines food technology expertise with sales & business development responsibilities to ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and market growth.
Key Responsibilities Technical Responsibilities:
- Monitor food production process as per Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines
- Ensure quality control & hygiene standards (GMP, HACCP)
- Develop new food products & improve existing formulations
- Handle product testing, shelf-life studies, and documentation
- Coordinate with production and R&D teams
Commercial Responsibilities:
- Prepare product costing & pricing
- Support sales team with technical presentations
- Handle B2B client queries regarding ingredients & specifications
- Prepare quotations & commercial proposals
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis
Required Qualifications:
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology / Food Science
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations & food safety standards
- 2–5 years experience in food manufacturing industry (preferred)
- Good communication & negotiation skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel / ERP systems
