Job Title: Head – Human Resources (HR Head)
Role Summary:
The HR Head will lead the overall Human Resources function with a strong focus on payroll management, statutory compliance, and labor law governance. The role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with applicable laws such as Shops & Establishment Act, Labour License, PF, ESIC, and other statutory requirements, while driving HR strategy and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality
- Ensure statutory deductions such as PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, and LWF are calculated and deposited correctly
- Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, incentives, and reimbursements
- Coordinate with finance for salary disbursement and compliance reporting
2. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws
- Ensure compliance with all state labor laws including:1) PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, 2)Contract Labor (CLRA) Act, 3)Labor Welfare Fund, Professional Tax
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and filings (monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Handle labor inspections, audits, and notices from authorities
- Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to legal requirements to avoid penalties
3. Shop Act & License Management
- Manage Shop & Establishment registration and renewals
- Handle Labour License registration and renewals across locations
- Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations under Shops & Establishment Act, which governs working conditions, wages, and employee rights
- Maintain all business licenses and statutory approvals
4. Compliance Audits & Documentation
- Lead internal and external compliance audits
- Maintain proper documentation for statutory records and inspections
- Coordinate with consultants, legal advisors, and government authorities
- Ensure audit readiness at all times
5. HR Operations & Strategy
- Develop and implement HR policies aligned with legal requirements
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement
- Drive HR automation and process improvements
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership for workforce planning
6. Employee Relations & Governance
- Ensure grievance handling in compliance with labour laws
- Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies
- Promote ethical practices and compliance culture
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws & statutory compliance
- Hands-on experience in payroll processing
- Expertise in Shop Act, Labour License, PF, ESIC, PT
- Experience in handling government audits and inspections
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and compliance mindset
Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA / PGDM in HR or related field
- 10 – 12+ years of experience in HR, with significant exposure to payroll & compliance
- Prior experience in handling multi-location compliance preferred

- 100% statutory compliance adherence
- Timely payroll processing
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
