We are looking for a proactive, and goal-oriented person to drive our Culture and Communications Department. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator first and foremost — someone who can confidently engage technical professionals, candidates, and leadership alike — and a fast, confident closer who can hire skilled IT professionals across multiple domains under tight timelines. Beyond recruitment, this role supports office administration, payroll processing, finance coordination, and the annual performance appraisal cycle, making it a well-rounded, high-impact HR position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Drive end-to-end recruitment across various IT domains (e.g., development, QA, DevOps, data, infrastructure, support) simultaneously, closing multiple open positions at a time.
- Work with a proactive, sense-of-urgency approach to streamline the hiring process — several roles need to be closed within a week, so speed and follow-through are critical.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing and recruitment strategies (job portals, referrals, social platforms, agencies) to attract skilled IT talent quickly.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements, qualifications, and priority levels for each opening.
- Conduct interviews, screen for technical fit, and evaluate candidates' suitability for IT positions.
- Negotiate offers and manage candidate follow-ups to minimize drop-offs and reduce time-to-close.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new IT employees, ensuring a smooth and well-documented transition.
2. Employee Relations, Engagement & Conflict Management
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and career development opportunities.
- Handle grievances and conflict resolution with fairness and confidentiality, ensuring prompt resolution and a positive work environment.
- Plan and organize employee engagement sessions and activities that foster a strong team culture and satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to understand and address employees' evolving needs.
3. Performance Management
- Plan and conduct the annual performance appraisal cycle end-to-end, once a year, ensuring timely completion across all teams.
- Implement performance management processes tailored to the IT industry, including goal setting, reviews, and career development plans.
- Collaborate with IT managers to provide constructive feedback, identify performance gaps, and set improvement plans.
4. Administration & Office Management
- Manage day-to-day administrative duties to keep office operations running smoothly.
- Coordinate with senior/higher management on office-related management, facilities, and logistics.
- Maintain accurate employee records, files, and HR documentation.
6. Payroll, Finance & Statutory Coordination
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursement each cycle.
- Complete all related paperwork and prepare/validate data required for salary processing.
- Coordinate with the Chartered Accountant (CA) and ESI agent for PF and ESI compliance and processing.
- Support and manage other finance-related aspects tied to HR operations, such as reimbursements, deductions, and vendor coordination for HR/payroll services.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 1.5–2 years of experience as an HR Executive or in a similar HR role, ideally within the IT industry; candidates with strong high-volume recruitment or bulk hiring experience are especially encouraged.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must — the ability to speak and write clearly and confidently is essential for engaging technical professionals, candidates, and leadership, and for handling appraisals and grievances effectively.
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach with the ability to work at pace and close multiple IT positions simultaneously, including urgent roles within a week.
- Active, confident, and self-driven, with strong verbal and written articulation.
- Familiarity with IT-specific job roles, technical skills, and software development methodologies.
- Experience supporting or conducting performance appraisal cycles, with working knowledge of payroll processes, PF/ESI compliance, and coordination with CA/statutory agents.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict/grievance-handling abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills, comfortable juggling recruitment, admin, appraisals, and payroll priorities together.
