Purchasing Executive – Industrial SparesJob Summary
Heliac Energii Controls Solutions is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Executive – Industrial Spares to manage the procurement of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and industrial spare parts. The ideal candidate should possess strong vendor management, sourcing, negotiation, and inventory planning skills to ensure timely availability of materials while optimizing procurement costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source industrial spares and engineering materials from reliable domestic and international suppliers.
- Identify new vendors, evaluate supplier capabilities, and develop long-term business relationships.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor the complete procurement cycle until material receipt.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and resolve supply-related issues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Projects, Stores, and Accounts departments for procurement planning.
- Verify technical specifications with OEM catalogues, datasheets, and customer requirements.
- Procure items such as valves, actuators, PLCs, VFDs, sensors, transmitters, motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, cables, switchgear, and other industrial automation products.
- Maintain supplier records, procurement history, and purchase documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend reorder quantities to avoid stock shortages.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost-saving analyses, and vendor performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and applicable statutory requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial spare parts and engineering products.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Ability to read technical datasheets, OEM part numbers, and engineering specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP/Tally/SAP or similar procurement software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement of industrial spares, MRO items, or engineering materials.
- Experience in automation, process industries, power plants, oil & gas, manufacturing, or EPC companies is preferred.
