Role overview
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain application components and services. You will work with product, design, and engineering to turn requirements into working software, participate in code reviews, and help resolve production issues in a Linux-based environment.
Roles and responsibilities
1. Implement application components and systems according to department standards and guidelines.
2. Work with product and designers to translate requirements into clear technical designs and implementations.
3. Analyze, design, code, debug, and test business applications.
4. Participate in code reviews in line with team processes and standards.
5. Understand and work with data at varying levels of complexity and scale.
6. Plan, execute, and complete work efficiently; support testing and production troubleshooting.
7. Assist testers and support teams in diagnosing and resolving system issues.
8. Contribute to integrating new technologies with existing systems.
9. Stay current with emerging technologies and their impact on internal systems.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required skills (must have)
- C++ / advanced C++ — strong hands-on experience (primary).
- Data structures and algorithms — solid foundation for design and performance.
- Debugging and production issue resolution — ability to investigate, reproduce, and fix issues under pressure.
- Linux — comfortable with shell, processes, and basic system troubleshooting.
- At least one secondary language or runtime for scripting or services: Python, Node.js, or shell scripting.
Good to have
- Cloud exposure (any major provider).
- Docker / Kubernetes basics.
- Design patterns.
- REST, GraphQL, gRPC, or SOAP APIs.
- Data pipelines, orchestration tools, Apache Airflow, or Apache Kafka.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Ability to assess situations quickly and provide clear feedback.
- Strong working knowledge of PC applications (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
- Self-starter with a strong aptitude for learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.

1. Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple assignments daily.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff.
4. Willingness to work flexible hours, on-site and remote, as required.
