- Merchant Acquisition & Sales: Actively hunt and close new business opportunities with high-growth merchants, enterprises, or platforms.
- Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Identify potential clients through cold calling, LinkedIn networking, industry events, and referrals, and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools.
- Technical Consulting/Solutioning: Understand client business requirements and recommend suitable payment solutions (e.g., UPI, UPI Autopay, Credit/Debit Cards, Netbanking).
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate service fees, MDR (Merchant Discount Rates), and contractual terms with merchants to secure partnerships.
- Relationship Management: Maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure retention and drive upselling opportunities.
- Onboarding & Coordination: Collaborate with technical, risk, and onboarding teams to ensure smooth integration for new merchants.
- Market Analysis & Trend Spotting: Stay updated on Fintech trends, payment-related laws (e.g., PCI DSS), and competitor offerings to identify new market opportunities.
Desired Candidate Profile & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably within Fintech, SaaS, or payment services.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including acquirers, processors, and API integrations (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay, Cashfree).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
