Mechanical Design Engineer
Position Overview :-We are looking for a skilled and dynamic Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in product design and development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CAD modeling, prototype development, fabrication drawings, BOM preparation, and testing processes.
This is a managerial role requiring the candidate to lead and manage a team while ensuring smooth coordination across design, production, operations, and execution activities. The candidate should be capable of handling operational management related to both B2B and B2C business models and ensuring timely execution of projects and processes.
Candidates with knowledge of IoT integration and smart mobility systems will have an added advantage.
Location:-Pimpri-Chinchwad

Salary:-CTC up to 4 LPA (Depending upon skill set & experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and UGNX based on design specifications and engineering standards.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for structural and fabricated parts.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and test prototypes using rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing and CNC machining.
- Conduct engineering analyses including stress analysis, tolerance analysis, and design validation to ensure product safety, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Maintain proper design documentation including technical drawings, specifications, reports, and revision records.
- Support research and development activities related to new technologies, materials, manufacturing processes, and product improvements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including industrial design, electrical, production, procurement, and manufacturing departments.
- Lead and manage the design/operations team, allocate responsibilities, monitor workflow, and ensure project timelines are achieved efficiently.
- Manage operational coordination activities related to both B2B and B2C business operations.
- Monitor project execution, vendor coordination, and day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth business functioning.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design or operational issues during development and implementation phases.
- Participate actively in design reviews, technical discussions, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation and understanding of IoT-based systems and smart product integrations wherever applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in mechanical/product design.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and UGNX.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing methods.
- Experience in prototype development, fabrication drawings, and BOM preparation.
- Basic understanding of IoT systems and smart technology integration will be considered an added advantage.
- Strong communication, leadership, team management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to independently manage technical as well as operational tasks.
