Role
The job involves working for a Global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. The position requires good experience and background in operations including familiarity with foreign exchange markets, back office settlements and cash functions. This person is proactive in resolving conflict and demonstrates exemplary follow-through. He/she adds value by working on a number of simultaneous tasks/projects with minimal supervision while paying special attention to detail. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator and works well with partner areas. Familiarity with SWIFT and FX markets, products and settlements is extremely beneficial.
Major DuTIES
-
Manage the daily processing of cash flow requests by clients. This includes: Ensuring proper AML checks have been performed on the instruction, ensuring all required approvals have occurred, executing payments per authorized instruction, confirming payments have been made, posting all cash related transactions as instructed by the client and assisting in the resolution of any issues related to payments made on behalf of clients.

Manage the daily processing and settlement of trades for clients.

Manage screening process.

Work with clients to resolve cash breaks and issues related to wire payments.

Assist in the development of a scalable, controlled and transparent cash processing work flow for all Cash activity

Effectively communicate with IT to test and implement development and enhancements of our offering.

Coordinate connectivity with client’s banks, custodians and prime brokers through SWIFT

Administer account implementation process and effectively communicate status to internal partners.

Escalate issues and signoff on daily process requirements.

Work on ad-hoc projects within team

Work with Relationship Managers across global locations to facilitate any client reporting requests

Knowledge of financial products like, Equity, Credits, Derivative instruments, TRS, REPO etc.

Facilitate process trainings and reviews

Qualifications:
-
A minimum of 6+ years of experience in Financial Services environment, preferably, performing processes involving P&L, price verification and risk.

Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred.

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline. Masters’ degree would be an advantage.

Business exposure to Equity or Credit or at least some complex derivative products like Equity, OTC & FX Options, TRS, CDS, CDX, synthetic CDO's, MBS, Bank Debt, Debt Warrants, Convertible Securities, Corporate and Treasury Bonds.
