Primary Objective
We are looking for a strong, commercially driven Senior Merchandiser who can independently help grow and strengthen the business through merchandising expertise, product development, market understanding, buyer relationships, sourcing and commercial decision-making.
This is not a routine order-follow-up role.
We need someone who can identify opportunities, develop products, strengthen buyer relationships, improve margins, expand the product range and actively contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new product and business opportunities.
- Develop commercially viable handicraft and hardgoods products.
- Strengthen existing buyer relationships and support new business development.
- Manage product development, sampling, costing and approvals.
- Handle vendor development, sourcing and negotiations.
- Coordinate production, quality and timely order execution.
- Track market and competitor trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve product margins and profitability.
- Proactively solve commercial and production challenges.
- Take independent ownership of the merchandising function.

Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in handicrafts, hardgoods, home décor or export merchandising.
- Excellent product development, costing and negotiation skills.
- Strong buyer/customer and vendor handling.
- Commercially aware and market-oriented.
- Capable of independent decision-making.
- Proactive, self-driven and result-oriented.
- Strong desire and ability to grow business rather than only execute existing orders.
Most Important Requirement
We want a Merchant who can create opportunities rather than wait for opportunities.
