Senior Quality Manager – Roles & Responsibilities1. Quality Management System (QMS)
- Establish, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
2. Incoming, In-Process & Final Quality Control
- Oversee Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), and Final Inspection activities.
- Ensure effective inspection plans, quality standards, and testing procedures are followed.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
3. Customer Quality Management
- Handle customer complaints, warranty claims, and quality-related escalations.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate customer audits and ensure successful audit outcomes.
- Improve customer satisfaction through proactive quality initiatives.
4. Supplier Quality Management
- Develop and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Conduct supplier audits and vendor assessments.
- Drive supplier quality improvement programs and corrective actions.
- Ensure incoming materials meet specified quality requirements.
5. Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and Quality Tools.
- Reduce defects, rework, rejection, and quality costs.
- Establish quality KPIs and monitor performance trends.
6. Non-Conformance & CAPA Management
- Investigate quality issues and non-conformities.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor effectiveness of CAPA and ensure sustainable solutions.
7. Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the Quality Team, including Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians.
- Conduct training programs on quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality tools.
- Develop succession planning and competency enhancement initiatives.
8. Quality Reporting & Management Review
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to management.
- Conduct Management Review Meetings (MRM).
- Monitor KPIs such as PPM, COPQ, Rejection Rate, Customer Complaints, and Audit Scores.
9. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, customer, and company requirements.
- Identify quality risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Support EHS, compliance, and risk management initiatives.
10. New Product Development (NPD) & Project Quality
- Participate in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, and Process Validation activities.
- Ensure quality requirements are integrated during product development.
- Support successful launch of new products and processes.

Preferred Experience
- 07–10 years in Quality Management within Manufacturing / Heavy Fabrication / Automotive / Engineering Industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Welding Quality, Fabrication Processes, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, and Lean Six Sigma.
- Experience handling OEM customers, supplier quality, and quality audits.
- Leadership experience managing multi-location quality teams.
