About the Role
We are a US-based dentistry. As a Dental Scheduling Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for American patients, managing their appointments, coordinating with dentists and hygienists, verifying insurance benefits, and keeping the schedule running at peak efficiency. This is a high-responsibility role that directly impacts patient experience and practice revenue.
Responsibilities
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and fill cancellations, keeping the provider schedule optimized at all times
- Handle inbound patient calls across a multi-line phone system with professionalism and warmth
- Verify dental insurance benefits and obtain pre-authorizations before procedures
- Accurately record patient demographics, medical history updates, and insurance information
- Coordinate in real time with dentists and hygienists to manage chair time and reduce patient wait times
- Send appointment reminders via phone and digital platforms
Requirements
- Dental office experience: 1–2 years minimum in a dental front desk, dental insurance, or dental support role; this is non-negotiable
- Hands-on experience with dental practice management software, CareStack, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of dental procedure codes (CDT/D-codes), common treatments (fillings, extractions, crowns, RCTs, scaling, implants), and how they affect scheduling time blocks
- Working knowledge of US dental insurance, PPO plans, in-network vs. out-of-network, EOBs, and pre-authorization workflows
- Excellent spoken and written English, you will be speaking directly with US patients
- Strong attention to detail, errors in insurance verification or scheduling directly affect the practice
Good to Have
- BDS degree or dental assisting background (even without full clinical experience, dental education gives you a significant advantage here)
- Prior experience in a US-facing dental support or dental BPO role
- Familiarity with US time zones and professional phone etiquette for American patients
Pay: From ₹11,695.40 per month
