Job Overview
GoPunekar Travel Co. is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Travel Sales Intern to join our growing team in Pune. The intern will assist in handling travel inquiries, preparing travel packages, and supporting the sales team in converting leads into bookings. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about the travel and tourism industry and want to gain practical experience in travel sales and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries from WhatsApp, Instagram, and other online platforms.
- Assist in designing domestic and international travel packages.
- Support the sales team in lead follow-ups and customer communication.
- Provide information about travel destinations, packages, and itineraries.
- Assist in preparing travel proposals and itineraries using Microsoft Word or similar tools.
- Coordinate with internal team members for bookings and travel arrangements.
- Maintain records of inquiries, leads, and bookings.
- Stay updated with trending travel destinations, tourism updates, and seasonal packages.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism or a related field.
- Freshers and interns are welcome to apply.
- Basic knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations.
- Good spoken communication skills in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and internet research.
- Interest in the travel and tourism industry.
Preferred Skills
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Basic understanding of travel itineraries and package planning.
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of travel trends, destinations, and tourism attractions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to grow in the travel sales field.
Work Schedule
- Working Hours: 10:30AM – 5:30 PM
- Weekly Off: One day per week (Sunday or any other weekday).
- Paid Leaves: Two paid leaves per month
Additional Information
- Candidates residing near Baner or nearby areas in Pune will be preferred.
Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: ₹4,000.00 - ₹5,000.00 per month
