Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with Tally, GST, TDS, and MS Excel, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles and taxation. The candidate should be able to manage day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring statutory compliance and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
- Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries, and bank transactions.
- Prepare and maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and financial records.
- Reconcile bank statements, customer accounts, vendor accounts, and ledger balances.
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) accurately and on time.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and return filings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and taxation regulations.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Coordinate with auditors during statutory and tax audits.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Support payroll-related statutory compliance such as PF & ESI (preferred but not mandatory).
- Assist management with financial analysis and other accounting-related tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, etc.).
- Good understanding of GST and TDS compliance.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
- Basic communication skills in English and the local language.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in handling PF & ESI compliance.
- Prior experience in an Audit or Chartered Accountant (CA) firm.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of payroll processing will be an added advantage.
