Job Summary:
A Retail Store Cashier is responsible for handling customer purchases, processing payments, and providing excellent customer service. The cashier ensures accurate billing, maintains the cash counter, and helps create a positive shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers politely and assist them during checkout
- Scan products and verify prices
- Accept cash, credit/debit cards, UPI, and other payment methods
- Provide receipts, refunds, and correct change
- Maintain accuracy while handling cash transactions
- Keep the billing counter clean and organized
- Pack items or assist customers with bags when needed
- Answer customer questions about products, offers, or store policies
- Report billing issues or suspicious activities to supervisors
- Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
Required Skills:
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic mathematics and cash-handling ability
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with billing machines or POS systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork and professionalism
Qualifications:
- High school pass or equivalent
- Previous retail or cashier experience is an advantage
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
