Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Plumbing Technician to support the
assembly and installation of high-pressure piping systems and cryogenic liquid pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with high-pressure systems (upto 350 bar), cryogenic dewars (LOX/LN2), and associated regulators, fittings,and safety protocols, including oxygen-compatible cleaning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. High-Pressure Plumbing and Assembly
a. Assemble and install high-pressure (150 bar and 350 bar) stainless steel pipes/tubes using appropriate fittings and tools (e.g., Swagelok, Parker, etc.).
b. Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and quality inspection of assembled lines.
2. Cryogenic Dewar Handling and Operation
a. Safely handle, operate, and transfer Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and Liquid Nitrogen (LIN) using dewars.
b. Monitor and maintain dewar storage systems per safety standards and operational guidelines.
3. Cryogenic Pipeline Plumbing
a. Fabricate and install pipelines for LOX and LIN transport and delivery.
b. Ensure compatibility and integrity of cryogenic piping systems under low temperatures.
4. Oxygen Cleaning & Compatibility
a. Understand and implement oxygen cleaning standards for components exposed to LOX or gaseous oxygen.
b. Handle and assemble equipment in accordance with oxygen safety requirements.
5. Cylinder Operation & Pressure Regulation
a. Operate gas cylinders (150 bar and 350 bar) including safe connection/disconnection.
b. Set and adjust pressure using regulators as per system requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, or related technical field.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in plumbing/fabrication in a high-pressure or cryogenic gas environment.
- Proficient in tube bending, fitting, and leak testing.
- Knowledge of Swagelok/Parker or equivalent fittings and tools.
- Experience working with cryogenic systems and pressurized gas cylinders.
- Familiarity with oxygen cleaning protocols and safety handling procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret piping schematics, P&IDs, and assembly drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, especially for safety-critical assemblies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in high-pressure gas systems or cryogenic handling.
- Prior experience in aerospace, medical gases, or industrial gas sectors.
- Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., CGA, ASME, ISO).
Work Environment & Safety:
- Regular exposure to pressurized systems and cryogenic fluids—strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols required.
- May involve lifting, standing, and working in tight spaces or elevated areas.
- Work may include off-shift hours or on-call support in critical cases.
Pay: ₹10,820.28 - ₹22,869.47 per month
