Job description:
We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager – Design (Architecture & Interiors) to lead the architectural and interior design function for premium luxury residential developments. This leadership role requires a professional who can combine exceptional design sensibilities with strong project management, commercial awareness, and stakeholder management skills.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering luxury residential villas, gated communities, hospitality, or clubhouse projects while ensuring design excellence, budget adherence, and seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end architectural and interior design projects from concept through execution.
- Develop and review design concepts, space planning, mood boards, material selections, and construction documentation.
- Present design concepts and project updates to senior management and UHNI clients.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors, procurement teams, and project execution teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Review BOQs, specifications, material selections, and value engineering proposals while maintaining design intent.
- Ensure design quality, statutory compliance, and adherence to company standards.
- Drive collaboration between design, procurement, execution, and commercial teams.
- Mentor and lead a team of architects and interior designers, fostering innovation and high performance.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and design milestones to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) is mandatory.
- 12–15 years of experience in architecture and interior design.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience handling luxury residential villas, gated communities, hospitality, or premium residential developments.
- Strong expertise in architectural design, interior design, project management, consultant coordination, and client presentations.
- Experience balancing design excellence with project budgets, value engineering, procurement, and execution requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
