General Manager – The Nilaya, Mashobra (Shimla) Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially driven General Manager who can run The Nilaya like a business, not just a property. This role is equal parts sales leader, operator, and brand custodian. You will be responsible for driving revenue, building strong distribution channels, and ensuring the on-ground experience matches the brand.
1. Revenue & Sales Leadership
- Own monthly revenue targets across rooms and F&B
- Drive occupancy through OTAs, direct bookings, and travel agent networks
- Identify demand patterns and optimize pricing, inventory, and packages
- Build and execute seasonal offers, long-stay plans, and experience-led packages
- Track performance weekly and course-correct fast
2. Campaigns & Events (End-to-End)
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns with internal/agency teams
- Conceptualize and run on-ground events, private bookings, and experiences
- Drive revenue from the Deck, Glasshouse Bar, and private spaces
- Ensure every event is profitable, not just well-executed
3. OTA & Distribution Management
- Manage relationships with platforms like MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, and Airbnb
- Optimize listings, pricing, visibility, and reviews
- Monitor competition and ranking trends regularly
- Ensure parity and maximize direct bookings alongside OTA growth
4. Travel Agent & B2B Network
- Build and maintain relationships with travel agents and corporate partners
- Expand B2B channels for steady occupancy
- Negotiate rates, manage contracts, and ensure repeat business
5. Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across rooms, F&B, and service
- Maintain high guest satisfaction and review scores
- Handle escalations with ownership mindset
- Ensure team alignment with brand tone and service standards
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams including front office, housekeeping, and F&B
- Set clear targets for each department
- Hire, train, and build a high-accountability culture
7. Reporting & Business Control
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance across revenue streams
- Monitor costs, margins, and profitability
- Share structured reports with ownership along with action plans
What We’re Looking For
- 4–8 years of experience in hospitality, with strong exposure to revenue or sales roles
- Proven track record of driving occupancy and revenue growth
- Hands-on experience with OTAs, pricing strategies, and distribution
- Strong understanding of campaigns, events, and F&B revenue generation
- Ability to think like an owner, not just execute tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-responsibility environment
Location & Work Structure
- Based in Mashobra (near Shimla)
- On-property role with full operational ownership

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
