About the Role:
The Sunday Guardian is hiring a Copy Writer for its English Newspaper News Section. The ideal candidate should possess strong news writing and editing skills, a keen understanding of current affairs, and the ability to transform raw information into accurate, engaging, and publication-ready news stories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, rewrite, and edit news stories for print and digital publication.
- Produce clear, concise, and accurate copies on politics, current affairs, governance, business, crime, and social issues.
- Create compelling headlines, subheads, intros, and captions.
- Rewrite agency copies and reporter submissions in accordance with editorial standards.
- Conduct fact-checking and ensure accuracy of information before publication.
- Work closely with reporters, editors, and the newsroom team to meet daily deadlines.
- Monitor news developments, government announcements, and breaking stories.
- Ensure content adheres to the newspaper's style guide and editorial policies
Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
