Key responsibilities:
1. Utility Operations & Maintenance
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of utilities including HVAC systems, Purified Water (PW) systems, electrical systems, compressed air, and other plant utilities used in OSD formulation.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities to manufacturing areas.
2. HVAC System Management
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems in compliance with GMP requirements (temperature, humidity, differential pressure control).
- Maintain classified areas as per regulatory requirements.
3. Purified Water System Management
- Ensure smooth operation, monitoring, and maintenance of Purified Water generation, storage, and distribution systems.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacopeial and regulatory standards.
4. Electrical System Management
- Oversee maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS, and power distribution systems.
- Ensure electrical safety, reliability, and compliance.
5. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all utilities.
- Ensure quick resolution of breakdowns and minimize downtime.
6. Calibration & Instrumentation
- Ensure calibration and periodic verification of utility-related instruments.
7. Regulatory & GMP Compliance
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and data integrity practices.
- Support regulatory audits (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc.).
8. ISO 50001 Energy Management System
- Implement and maintain Energy Management System as per ISO 50001:2018 requirements.
- Monitor and optimize energy usage across utilities.
- Conduct energy audits and implement conservation measures.
9. Documentation & SOPs
- Prepare, review, and update SOPs related to utilities.
- Ensure proper documentation in QMS systems (TrackWise).
10. Team Management & Training
- Lead utility team and ensure discipline and safety culture.
- Train employees and contractors on utility systems and safety practices.
11. Contractor Management
- Ensure contractors comply with safety and GMP requirements.
12. Resource & Energy Optimization
- Optimize usage of manpower, utilities, and energy resources.
13. Risk & Safety Management
- Identify risks in utility systems and implement control measures.
14. Continuous Improvement
- Drive reliability improvement, automation, and energy efficiency initiatives.
