About Atlaren
Atlaren is a structural engineering firm supporting international consultancies with analysis, design, and documentation for residential and small-to-mid-scale commercial buildings.
We are building a lean, high-quality drafting team. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing structural drawings from engineer's calculations and sketches - general arrangement, framing plans, sections, and details for steel and concrete structures
- Producing detailing packages: connection details, footing/slab details, reinforcement layouts, steel member schedules
- Coordinating drawings with architectural and services layouts to flag clashes early
- Updating and revising drawings through review cycles based on engineer and Technical Director feedback
- Maintaining drawing standards, layer conventions, and title block/documentation consistency across projects
- Managing drawing registers and revision control
What We're Looking For
Must Have
- 3–5 years of experience drafting structural drawings for building projects
- Strong command of AutoCAD - layers, blocks, xrefs, sheet sets, plotting/output setup
- Ability to read and interpret structural engineer's calculations, sketches, and markups accurately
- Working understanding of steel and concrete structural detailing conventions
- Ability to work independently, manage your own drawing set, and hit deadlines without hand-holding
- Strong attention to detail - an error in a detail sheet becomes an error on site
Good to Have
- Revit experience, or willingness to build it - we're expanding into BIM workflows
- Exposure to international structural drawing standards
- Experience with shop drawing review and markup workflows
- Prior exposure to residential/commercial building projects
