Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).
HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. METRO helps them manage their business challenges more effectively.
MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. The Assistant Manager – P&C Solutions Team is responsible for leading a team of HR Operations professionals to deliver high-quality, end-to-end employee lifecycle services across multiple countries. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring SLA and KPI adherence, coaching high-performing teams, supporting process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver a seamless employee experience while ensuring compliance with global standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Lead HR Operations: Manage day-to-day delivery of end-to-end HR services, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, quality standards, and compliance requirements.

People Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of Team Leaders and HR Specialists, driving performance, engagement, capability building, and succession planning.

Stakeholder Management: Partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and regional stakeholders to resolve operational issues and deliver exceptional employee experience.

Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, standardize processes, monitor service performance, and support automation and digital transformation projects.

Governance & Compliance: Ensure data accuracy, policy adherence, audit readiness, labor law compliance, and effective risk management across HR operations.

Performance Management: Track service metrics, identify trends, and drive corrective actions to achieve SLA, KPI, quality, and productivity targets

Knowledge & Capability Development: Maintain process documentation and drive training, cross-skilling, and capability building across the team.

Change & Transformation Support: Support HR transitions, system implementations, and process transformation initiatives to ensure smooth adoption and operational stability.
Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree ; MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred

8–12 years of experience in HR Shared Services or HR Operations (specially managing employee lifecycle management) within a global organization preferably supporting Europe

Experience in managing/supporting transitions/transformation is mandatory

Minimum 3–5 years of people management experience leading HR Operations teams.

Strong knowledge of end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, HR service delivery, SLA/KPI management, and continuous improvement.

Experience supporting multi-country HR operations with strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Working knowledge of HR technologies such as Workday, ServiceNow, SAP, or Oracle HCM, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and change management skills, with the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
