We are looking for an experienced Meteorologist / Meteorological Data Quality Specialist to support a network of approximately 66 Automatic Weather Stations (AWS). (1- 3 years of Experience )
The key responsibility will be to review, validate, and improve the quality of weather data received from these stations.
The expert will be expected to:
* Review weather station data for accuracy and consistency.
* Define data sanity checks and QA/QC rules.
* Identify abnormal, missing, incorrect, or suspicious readings.
* Analyze discrepancies between AWS data and third-party weather data.
* Recommend appropriate methods for data correction, validation, and gap filling.
* Help identify possible sensor, calibration, or station-level issues.
* Work with our technical team to convert meteorological validation rules into automated system logic.
* Recommend best practices for maintaining reliable weather datasets.
Preferred Background: Degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Climatology, or related field, with practical experience in Automatic Weather Stations, meteorological sensors, and weather-data validation/QA-QC.
