Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Lesson Delivery:
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans according to the primary EVS curriculum.
- Teach foundational concepts related to nature, ecosystems, plants, animals, human body systems, healthy habits, and social environments.
- Use activity-based, play-based, and experiential learning methods to make lessons interactive and relevant.
- Practical & Experiential Learning:
- Plan outdoor activities, nature walks, basic science experiments, and field trips to build practical curiosity.
- Integrate audio-visual aids, storytelling, art, and charts to explain environmental and scientific concepts.
- Encourage sustainable practices among students (e.g., waste segregation, water conservation, and tree planting).
- Assessment & Student Care:
- Track and evaluate student understanding through regular quizzes, oral questions, worksheets, and observation.
- Maintain dynamic records of individual student progress and academic growth.
- Provide remedial assistance to students who need extra guidance.
- Parental & Team Collaboration:
- Communicate student performance, behavior, and progress clearly during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Work collaboratively with other primary teachers and school staff to organize science exhibitions, Earth Day activities, and school events.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.), Environmental Science, or Education (B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. / ECCE preferred).
- Experience: 1–3 years of teaching experience as a primary school teacher or science/EVS educator.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Core Competencies: Classroom management, creative teaching techniques, patience, and a strong passion for environmental education.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
