Job Summary
The X-Ray Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging and clinical laboratory tests to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases. This role requires technical proficiency in operating both radiographic and laboratory equipment, strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols, and a strong commitment to patient care.
Core Responsibilities
X-Ray & Radiological Duties
- Patient Preparation: Explain procedures to patients, address their concerns, and ensure they are correctly positioned for imaging to get the clearest possible results.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate CR X-ray machines to perform routine diagnostic imaging.
- Image Processing: Process digital X-ray films and ensure the images meet the quality standards required by the radiologist or referring physician.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT).
- Diploma or Certification in X-Ray / Radiography Technology.
- Experience: Previous clinical experience operating X-ray machinery and handling diagnostic lab tests is highly preferred.

- Technical Proficiency: Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware issues on both lab analyzers and imaging machines.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in labeling samples, mixing reagents, and capturing targeted medical images.
- Patient Compassion: Excellent bedside manner, especially when dealing with anxious patients, children, or the elderly during blood draws or imaging.
