About this opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Identity & Foundational Services to own the end‑to‑end strategy, engineering, and delivery of enterprise identity and identity‑centric foundational platforms supporting a global workforce.
This role is accountable for defining the platform vision and roadmap, driving solution design and implementation, and ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable service delivery. The role leads global teams and partners with peer leaders to provide continuous service coverage and operational resilience.
Foundational Services in this role include directory services, authentication platforms, PKI, DNS, and related trust services. This role does not include ownership of network, compute, & storage services.
In this role, you will…
Platform Strategy and Ownership
- Define and own the platform strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
- Accountable for technical direction, design standards, and long‑term evolution of identity and trust platforms.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security strategy, Zero Trust principles, and business priorities.
Engineering & Platform Delivery
- Lead the design, build, integration, and deployment of identity and foundational service capabilities.
- Drive modernization, automation, and technical debt reduction across platforms.
- Ensure solutions are engineered for security, scalability, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Own the transition of new capabilities into steady‑state service delivery.
Service Reliability & Operational Excellence
- Own the end‑to‑end service lifecycle, including availability, performance, resilience, and supportability.
- Provide senior leadership during major incidents and service disruptions.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
- Define and track service health metrics, KPIs, and outcomes.
Governance, Risk & Security
- Ensure identity and access services meet audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Own access governance processes, control validations, and remediation activities.
- Maintain disciplined change, release, and operational governance.
- Partner closely with Security and Risk teams to protect enterprise trust.
Leadership & Global Partnership
- Lead, coach, and develop high‑performing platform and engineering teams.
- Build strong technical depth, ownership, and accountability across the organization.
- Partner with peer leaders across regions to operate in a follow‑the‑sun model, ensuring continuity, shared accountability, and seamless service delivery.
- Act as a trusted leader to technology, security, and business stakeholders.
In this role, you’ll need …
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, with deep focus on identity platforms or foundational services.
- 5+ years of experience leading senior technical and platform teams.
- Strong experience designing and delivering Microsoft‑centric identity environments, including:
- Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory (hybrid)
- Authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management
- Identity‑centric foundational services such as directory services, PKI, and DNS
- Proven experience owning platforms from strategy through delivery and operations.
- Strong decision‑making and stakeholder leadership skills.
Preferred
- Experience modernizing enterprise identity platforms at scale.
- Background in Zero Trust or cloud‑first identity architectures.
- Experience working in regulated or audit‑driven environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL‑aligned service management practices.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 collaboration and productivity platforms (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, M365 Purview)
