Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store In-Charge to manage overall warehouse and store operations, including material receiving, storage, inventory control, issuance, and documentation. The candidate should have strong organizational skills and experience in managing industrial/project stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day store and warehouse operations.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, tagging, and preservation of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock registers.
- Issue materials to departments/projects against authorized requisitions.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely replenishment of materials.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and damages.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, spare parts, consumables, and other materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Projects, Production, Finance, and other departments.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory.
- Ensure housekeeping, safety, and security standards within the store.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly inventory and stock reports.
- Supervise store assistants, helpers, and other warehouse personnel.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in stores/warehouse operations.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, engineering, shipyard, or project environments is preferred.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and material handling procedures.
- Experience with ERP/Tally/SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and documentation.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and team-management skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work under deadlines.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
