- Prepare the Operation Theatre (OT) before surgical procedures by ensuring all equipment, instruments, and consumables are available and functioning.
- Set up, operate, and maintain anaesthesia machines, ventilators, suction apparatus, patient monitors, and other OT equipment.
- Assist the anaesthesiologist before, during, and after anaesthesia administration.
- Assist surgeons and OT nurses during surgical procedures as required.
- Prepare and position patients safely for surgery under the guidance of the surgical team.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
- Coordinate with the CSSD for sterilization and timely availability of surgical instruments.
- Monitor oxygen supply, medical gas pipelines, and emergency equipment to ensure readiness.
- Handle, clean, disinfect, and maintain OT and anaesthesia equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Maintain inventory of OT consumables, instruments, and anaesthesia supplies, and report shortages promptly.
- Assist in handling and transporting specimens to the laboratory as per protocol.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately and coordinate with the Biomedical Engineering team for repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of OT procedures, equipment usage, and maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and NABH standards.
- Support elective, emergency, and trauma surgeries.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the OT In-charge, Anaesthesiologist, or Hospital Management.
Qualification & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), Anaesthesia Technology (AT), or a related Allied Health Science discipline.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in an Operation Theatre or Anaesthesia Department (Freshers with relevant internship/training may also be considered).
- Knowledge of OT procedures, surgical instruments, anaesthesia equipment, sterilization techniques, and infection control practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain OT and anaesthesia equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with NABH standards, patient safety protocols, and OT documentation.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, night shifts, weekends, and emergency duties.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred; ACLS certification is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
