The AI Adoption Hub is Infor's tool for sales teams to co-create industry AI adoption plans with customers, live in the meeting. As our Senior Front-End Engineer you'll own and evolve its React/TypeScript experience end to end, on a modern AWS serverless stack. It's a small, fast-moving, AI-first team where you take ambiguous problems all the way to production with minimal direction.
-
Design, build, and ship features across the product's React and TypeScript front end, taking work from an ambiguous problem all the way to live in front of real users.
- Own user-interface quality end to end: build component-driven UIs against a design system / component library, hold a high bar on web accessibility (keyboard and screen-reader, WCAG AA), responsive layout, and cross-browser / visual QA.
- Integrate live, in-product AI (LLM) features into the experience — surfacing model-generated recommendations and content reliably, with validated/structured output and sensible cost and latency guardrails.
- Write and maintain automated end-to-end and UI tests, keep the front end observable in production (errors, performance, real-user behaviour), and take part in code review, architecture discussions, and technical roadmap planning for the product.
- Partner closely with product, design, and the field — talking directly to the sellers who use the product to turn their feedback into shipped improvements (engineers here communicate with non-engineers, not just each other).
- Champion performance, reliability, security, and accessibility across the front end, and own the outcome of what you ship in production rather than just the task.
-
Senior bar: 5+ years building and shipping production web applications, with end-to-end ownership of features — from an ambiguous problem to live in front of real users — not just contributing tickets inside a large team.
- React (modern, hooks-based — current major versions) as your primary skill: building component-driven, production-grade user interfaces.
- Strong TypeScript, including strict typing, in a production codebase.
- Hands-on experience building production web apps on a major cloud platform (AWS preferred, not required).
- Front-end craft: responsive layout, cross-browser and visual QA, and web accessibility fundamentals (WCAG 2.x / AA level).
- Working knowledge of REST API design and integrating a front end with backend services; comfortable with Git and CI/CD.
-
Has built and launched real products from start to finish. They can clearly describe what they built, who used it, and what they personally did.
- Uses AI coding tools every day to work faster, and can explain how they use them.
- Learns new things quickly. They can give an example of a tool or skill they picked up recently and used well.
- Works well on their own. They can take an unclear problem and move it forward without waiting for detailed instructions.
- Explains technical things clearly to non-technical people — here, engineers work directly with the product team and the sales field.
- Is reliable: follows through without being reminded, raises problems early, and takes responsibility for the result, not just the task.
- Node.js / serverless backend exposure to work full-stack — e.g. cloud API / serverless backend services and a NoSQL or cloud database (willing to learn is fine; this is not required).
- Exposure to building features on top of LLM APIs from any major provider (e.g. OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google, or similar); willing to learn is fine — we will teach you.
- Input / schema-validation discipline and familiarity with web auth (OAuth / OIDC / token-based).
- Automated end-to-end / UI testing experience.
- Experience with a design system / component library (web components a plus).
- Infrastructure-as-code and front-end observability/monitoring (error tracking, performance, real-user metrics) in a production cloud environment.
- Transactional email and prompt-engineering / structured-output discipline for LLM features; RAG patterns (embeddings, vector search, retrieval ranking) and eval/regression discipline for LLM outputs — these go deeper than this role requires, so a bonus, not expected.
