Job Summary
Growel Feeds Private Limited is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Maintenance Manager to lead the mechanical maintenance function of our aqua feed manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance costs, and supporting continuous production through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices.
Candidates with prior experience in Feed Manufacturing, Aqua Feed, Animal Feed, Poultry Feed, or Continuous Process Industries will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Plan, organize, and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability with minimum downtime.
- Supervise maintenance of production equipment, including:
- Hammer Mills
- Mixers
- Pellet Mills/Feed Mills
- Extruders
- Dryers
- Crumblers
- Conveyors
- Bucket Elevators
- Packing Machines
- Compressors
- Boilers
- Pumps
- Gearboxes
- Rotary Valves
- Dust Collection Systems
- Material Handling Equipment
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
- Prepare annual maintenance schedules and plant shutdown plans.
- Monitor machine performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper lubrication management and condition monitoring.
- Manage maintenance spare parts inventory and optimize maintenance costs.
- Coordinate with production, electrical, stores, and procurement departments for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company maintenance procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records, SOPs, equipment history, and KPI reports.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine efficiency and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Train and mentor maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and fitters.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional certifications in Maintenance Management, Reliability Engineering, TPM, or Lean Manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within the Feed Manufacturing Industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience in Aqua Feed, Poultry Feed, Animal Feed, Food Processing, FMCG, or Continuous Process Industries is preferred.
