Role Description This is a full-time, on-site WordPress Developer role based in Kolkata. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and themes aligned with client brand guidelines and project requirements. Day-to-day tasks include developing front-end layouts, configuring plugins, optimizing performance, and ensuring responsive, cross-browser compatible designs. The role involves collaborating with designers, content creators, and digital marketing teams to implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and enhance user experience. The developer will also be responsible for maintaining site security, performing regular updates, and ensuring high-quality, scalable web solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
- Candidates should possess Web Design and Responsive Web Design skills to create visually consistent, user-friendly interfaces across devices.
- Candidates should possess Web Development and Back-End Web Development skills, including experience with PHP, WordPress core, themes, and plugin integration.
- Candidates should possess WordPress-specific expertise, including custom theme development, child themes, page builders, and troubleshooting plugin conflicts.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, website performance optimization, and basic security hardening for WordPress sites.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in agency or product-based environments and a portfolio of atleast 5 live WordPress projects will be considered an advantage.
- Immediate joiners & local candidate preferred.
