Job Summary
We are seeking a Safety & Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, maintaining compliance records, and promoting a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and workplace audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain licenses, permits, safety records, and compliance documentation.
- Conduct employee safety training, inductions, and emergency drills.
- Coordinate with auditors, government authorities, and external agencies.
- Monitor PPE usage, fire safety systems, and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in safety and compliance, preferably in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Factory Act, EHS regulations, fire safety, and statutory compliance.
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and audit management.
