Position Summary
The Cambridge Head is responsible for the effective planning, implementation, and management of the Cambridge curriculum. The role involves providing academic leadership, ensuring compliance with Cambridge standards, supporting teachers, and driving student achievement while maintaining the school's educational vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership
- Lead and oversee the implementation of the Cambridge curriculum across the assigned grades.
- Ensure effective curriculum planning, lesson delivery, and assessment practices.
- Monitor academic performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Prepare the school for Cambridge inspections, audits, and accreditation requirements.
Teacher Management
- Mentor, guide, and evaluate Cambridge faculty members.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Organize teacher training sessions and professional development programs.
- Support recruitment, induction, and retention of qualified Cambridge educators.
Student Development
- Track student progress and ensure high academic standards.
- Address academic concerns and implement intervention plans where required.
- Promote holistic development through co-curricular and enrichment activities.
Parent and Stakeholder Engagement
- Conduct parent orientations and academic meetings.
- Communicate curriculum expectations, student progress, and school initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with parents and external academic partners.
Administration and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Cambridge International guidelines and school policies.
- Coordinate examination schedules, assessments, and academic records.
- Prepare academic reports and maintain required documentation.
- Collaborate with the Principal and senior management on academic planning and school development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or a relevant subject.
- Cambridge teaching or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Cambridge International curriculum and assessment framework.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
