Steadfast Engineers LLP is a leading manufacturer of induction melting furnaces, induction heating systems, billet heaters, and customized industrial equipment. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in designing Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), Rolling Mill Equipment, and Forging Machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) based on customer requirements.
- Design mechanical systems and equipment for Rolling Mills, Forging Plants, and Material Handling Systems.
- Prepare 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Design machine structures, gearboxes, shafts, rollers, roller tables, manipulators, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Perform engineering calculations for load, strength, torque, bearing selection, shaft design, and material selection.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, machining, purchase, and quality teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical support during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and improved machine performance.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures.
- Resolve design-related issues and implement engineering improvements.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Special Purpose Machine (SPM) Design.
- Hands-on experience in Rolling Mill Equipment Design and Forging Machinery Design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (Creo/Inventor is an added advantage).
- Good knowledge of machine design, fabrication, welding, machined components, sheet metal, and heavy engineering structures.
- Experience in roller table design, pinch rolls, conveyors, transfer systems, forging manipulators, hydraulic presses, billet handling systems, and automation equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, fits, bearings, gear design, and engineering standards.
- Ability to prepare detailed BOMs and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Candidates having experience in one or more of the following industries will be preferred:

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
