Technical and Execution Duties
- Interpreting drawings: Read structural and architectural plans.
- Setting out: Mark lines, levels, and coordinates on the ground.
- Quality checks: Inspect steel reinforcement, formwork, and concrete pours.
- Solving problems: Fix design or site discrepancies quickly.
Management and Supervision
- Directing labor: Assign daily tasks to workers and subcontractors.
- Managing materials: Check quality and count of incoming supplies like cement and steel.
- Enforcing safety: Make sure crews wear gear and follow safety codes.
- Tracking progress: Write daily logs and update work schedules.
Communication
- Liaising with teams: Connect project managers, architects, and clients.
- Giving advice: Provide technical guidance to trade workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Supervision & Execution:
- Manage daily construction operations based on blueprints and design drawings.
- Set out alignments, levels, and dimensions accurately on the ground.
- Supervise subcontractors, craft workers, and construction crews. [1, 2]
- Quality Control & Assurance:
- Inspect building materials (concrete, steel, aggregates) for compliance.
- Conduct regular structural and material testing.
- Reject sub-standard work and enforce corrective actions.
Progress Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor work schedules to prevent project delays.
- Write daily, weekly, and monthly progress logs.
- Report bottlenecks to project managers or senior engineers.
Material & Resource Management:
- Estimate material requirements and handle site inventory.
- Coordinate the delivery and placement of heavy equipment and raw materials.
- Minimize material waste to control on-site expenditures.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering. [1]
- Experience: 2 to 5+ years of active on-site construction experience.
- Proficiency in reading structural and architectural drawings.
- Working knowledge of surveying instruments (AutoLevel, Total Station).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or basic project scheduling tools.
- Clear verbal and written communication for dealing with laborers and clients.
- Strong problem-solving mindset for unexpected field issues.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
