Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Accounting, preferably with a background in ERP or Tally systems.
Responsibilities for Accountant Role
- Oversee accounting operations with accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor and control expenses within approved budget levels.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that accurately reflect the company’s financial standing.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
- Review and maintain books of accounts.
- Guide and mentor the accounting team.
- Ensure timely updates of standard pricing.
- Oversee and file GST returns: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, ITC-04, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
- Handle TDS/TCS payments and quarterly returns.
- Review GSTR-2B against the purchase register to ensure proper GST compliance by suppliers and customers.
- Facilitate completion of statutory and tax audits by providing necessary details and schedules.
- Coordinate with departments to respond to internal audit observations.
- Follow up and close internal audit findings.
- Assist in preparation of tax audit reports – Forms 3CA/CB, 3CD, and ensure compliance with ICDS.
- Regularly review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers.
- Coordinate with banks, branches, and customers for issuance or cancellation of bank guarantees.
- Ensure timely execution of other accounting, costing, tax, and compliance-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Education: B.Com, CMA or CA Inter preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in industrial/manufacturing accounting.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, GST filing, and tax compliance.
