Opportunity for the Position of CNC Turning Operator
- Designation (Role): CNC Turning Operator
- Department (Functional Area): Production / Tool Room
- Reporting To: HOD
- Company/Working Location: Moraiya, Ahmedabad (Gujarat)
- Salary: 2.5 to 4 LPA (depending on experience)
- Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Turner, Machinist, or equivalent
- Experience: 2 to 5 Years
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC Turning machines to manufacture components as per engineering drawings.
- Perform machine setup, tool offset adjustments, and job changeovers.
- Load raw materials and unload finished components safely.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Inspect machined parts using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, and Height Gauge.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain product quality as per specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns.
- Replace worn-out cutting tools and maintain proper tool life.
- Maintain production records and ensure target achievement with minimum rejection.
- Follow 5S, safety, and quality standards in the machine shop.
Key Skills Required:
- Good knowledge of CNC Turning machine operation.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T basics.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, inserts, feeds, and speeds.
- Understanding of machine setup, offsets, and basic troubleshooting.
- Awareness of quality standards and inspection methods.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
