- Dell, HPE, and Lenovo rack & tower servers
- Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS)
- VMware and Hyper-V virtualization
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
- RAID configurations, NAS, SAN storage
- iDRAC, iLO, SSH, and RDP
- Monitoring and backup tools
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and infrastructure
- Perform on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Execute server deployments, upgrades, and migrations
- Ensure system uptime, performance, and security compliance
- Collaborate with remote teams and vendors to resolve issues
- Maintain service documentation, reports, and asset records
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in server or infrastructure support
- Strong understanding of server hardware and networking fundamentals
- Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues on-site
- Willingness to travel within the Chicago area
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA, MCSA, or VMware (VCP) certifications
- Data center experience
- Knowledge of firewalls and security systems
