An Electrical Technician in the solar sector installs, maintains, and repairs photovoltaic (PV) systems. Responsibilities include wiring panels to inverters, conducting system diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical faults, and performing preventive maintenance to maximize renewable energy generation. - Installation: Assemble and mount PV panels, racking systems, inverters, and battery banks. Route and connect AC/DC electrical wiring according to local electrical codes. [1, 2, 3]
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Use multimeters and other testing devices to verify circuit continuity, test voltage, and identify electrical or system malfunctions. [1,
- Maintenance: Conduct routine system inspections, clean solar modules, and perform both preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Reporting: Document maintenance activities, electrical tests, and site conditions, and report them to project managers.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to workplace safety standards, especially when operating outdoors, working at heights, or handling high-voltage equipment.
Key Requirements
- Education: ITI, Diploma, or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and reading blueprints or schematic drawings.
- Physical & Environmental: Ability to work in outdoor environments, travel to local project sites (such as in and around the Aluva/Kochi region), and work comfortably at heights.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
