Xplora Getaways is looking for a dynamic and target-driven Travel Sales Executive to handle inbound leads generated through digital marketing and convert them into confirmed tour package bookings. The role primarily focuses on lead conversion, customer consultation and corporate field visits in and around Trivandrum to promote and sell domestic and international tour packages. The sales executive will be responsible for closing enquiries and handing over confirmed bookings to the operations team for execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact and follow up with leads received through website, social media, ads and WhatsApp
- Understand client travel requirements and recommend suitable tour packages
- Explain itineraries, inclusions, pricing, and value propositions clearly to clients
- Convert enquiries into bookings and achieve monthly sales targets
- Prepare tour proposals and quotations based on customer needs
- Coordinate with the operations team for pricing and availability before confirmation
- Handover confirmed bookings to the operations team for tour execution
- Visit corporates, offices and organizations in and around Trivandrum to promote tour packages
- Generate group tours, corporate travel enquiries and partnerships
- Maintain lead records, follow-ups and sales reports in CRM or internal systems
- Build long-term client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Promote seasonal tours, group departures, and special travel offers
Requirements
- 0–5 years of experience in travel sales, tour packages, inside sales, or similar role
- Individual with strong sales aptitude can also be considered
- Strong communication, persuasion and negotiation skills
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets
- Willingness to travel locally for corporate visits and client meetings
- Basic knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office, email and WhatsApp communication
- Fluency in English, Hindi and Malayalam
