Job Summary
We are seeking a Testing Engineer to perform routine and type testing of Current Transformers (CT) and Potential Transformers (PT) as per applicable standards. The candidate should have basic knowledge of electrical testing procedures, quality requirements, and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine testing of CT/PT transformers as per approved test procedures.
- Conduct electrical tests such as insulation resistance, winding resistance, ratio test, polarity test, burden test, high-voltage (HV) test, and accuracy testing.
- Operate testing equipment and maintain calibration records.
- Record, analyze, and prepare test reports accurately.
- Identify defects and coordinate with production and quality teams for corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards and company quality procedures.
- Follow electrical safety guidelines while conducting tests.
- Maintain testing records, documentation, and test instruments in good condition.
- Support quality inspections and continuous improvement activities.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of CT/PT transformer testing.
- Understanding of electrical measuring instruments and test equipment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of IS/IEC standards is preferred.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 1–2 years of experience in a CT/PT transformer manufacturing or electrical equipment industry.
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or ITI Electrical.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.
Salary
As per company standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
