Learn, understand and Provide support on customized, C# based Autodesk’s Inventor Automation software for CAD. Enhancement in software for new Product implementation, integration with latest CAD Version, integration with SAP PLM and maintenance of existing products. Provides support to create templates in CAD. Is able to work on excel VBA for macros to work with “.xlsm” based templates. Work with and Maintain source code using GitHub and/or Azure DevOps.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Undertake customized CAD Automation projects in Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and Forge.
- Standardizes and monitors the working methods in CAD templates, Maintains discipline of working on project documentation and CAD files in vaults.
- Provide automation support for manual tasks with customized executables.
- Creation of 3D models, drawings, and assembly templates with automation architecture.
- Develops and maintains checklist and testing procedure for cad automation.
- Discusses with site engineers to seek information, clarification, and feedback.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience with design and cad automation of industrial equipment (Actuators, pumps, motors, filters, valves, coupling, Heat Exchangers etc.) preferred.
- Experience in 3D modelling, assembly, drawings, analysis, and customization using CAD, Preferably Autodesk inventor, Autodesk Vault, SolidWorks,
- Knowledge/experience of handling integration activities of CAD with respect to Vault, SAP, Web tools, any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Inventor API and I-Logic programming skill required.
- Able to work with Git and Devops.
- Database handling skills in XL, SQL XML etc. required.
- Programing experience and capability needed for CAD customization & integration with ERP– example VB, VB.net, C#, Java, Open API, Database management tools.
- IT savvy, good understanding of IT infrastructures – servers, printers/plotters, Licensing
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude. Takes initiative in activities.
- Willingness to learn new processes and applications. Willing share knowledge, supportive in helping others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Power apps and Power Bi will be added advantage.
- B. E/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering Technology, CAD design, or similar required.
- experience in interpreting Design concepts/layouts and Bills of Materials to produce high quality 3D models and detail drawings for parts and multi-component assemblies.
- Experienced in producing models and drawings for a wide array of components and assemblies, including but not limited to castings, rough and precision machining, fabrication and piping.
- 3-5 years related experience required from working in similarly industrial / mechanical engineering environment.
- Experience in .Net framework, C# programming language, Visual studios, Git, SQL etc.
- Good communication skills required.

Check for experience in – I Logic, using of snippets, creating new snippets, Integrating Spreadsheet with inventor.
- Experience in the CAD customization? Did candidate worked on geometry and drawing customization? Give example.
- Programing language known. Does the candidate have experience in programming languages – VB, VB.net, C#, Java, Open API. Any other programming languages used in CAD customization.
- Does candidate have experience in Database handling and integration with CAD and vault. Integration with ERP. Can the candidate independently perform?
- Has the candidate worked in Mechanical industry, does he understand the process of design, exposure to Machining?
- Has the candidate worked with Power apps and Power Bi?
