Khushbu Auto Finance Ltd. (KAFL) is a leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) committed to providing vehicle finance solutions across India. We are looking for a dedicated and result-oriented Legal Officer to strengthen our Collection Department and ensure effective legal recovery while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle legal recovery cases related to overdue loan accounts.
- Draft, review, and issue legal notices, demand notices, affidavits, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with panel advocates, courts, police authorities, and government departments for recovery-related matters.
- Manage arbitration proceedings, cheque bounce cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Section 138), and other recovery litigation.
- Attend court hearings and monitor the progress of ongoing legal cases.
- Support branch collection teams in repossession and recovery activities while ensuring legal compliance.
- Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, NBFC regulations, and other applicable legal provisions.
- Maintain legal MIS, case records, documentation, and recovery reports.
- Provide legal advice to collection and operations teams on recovery-related issues.
- Conduct field visits whenever required for legal verification and recovery support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- LLM will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Legal, Recovery, or Litigation, preferably in an NBFC, Banking, or Financial Institution.
- Experience in handling loan recovery, arbitration, cheque bounce matters, and legal documentation.
- Knowledge of NBFC regulations, recovery laws, contract law, and civil procedures.
Skills Required
- Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Willingness to travel for field recovery and court-related work.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in the Auto Finance or NBFC sector.
- Strong understanding of legal recovery processes.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Fluency in Hindi and English; knowledge of the local language will be an added advantage.
