Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Junior ROS Developer (0–1 Year Experience) to join our growing Robotics R&D team. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for a passionate engineer eager to kickstart their career in autonomous systems and industrial automation. Working alongside experienced robotics professionals, you will help design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent software solutions for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and AGVs.
While hands-on project, internship, or academic experience with ROS/ROS2, C++, Python, and Linux is required, we are looking for someone with a strong foundational understanding, a willingness to learn rapidly, and a passion for building next-generation robotics applications.
Mandatory Skills
Foundational knowledge or hands-on project experience with ROS/ROS2.
Proficiency in C++ and Python programming.
Familiarity working with Ubuntu Linux.
Understanding of core ROS concepts:
Nodes, Topics, Services, Actions
TF (Transforms) and URDF
Exposure to Navigation2 (Nav2), SLAM Toolbox, AMCL, and RViz.
Familiarity with simulation environments like Gazebo or Ignition Gazebo.
Basic understanding of sensor integration (LiDAR, IMU, Cameras, GPS, Encoders).
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
Basic knowledge of robot kinematics and coordinate frames.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in developing and maintaining robotics applications using ROS/ROS2.
Support the implementation and optimization of robot navigation, localization, and mapping algorithms.
Create and maintain ROS Nodes, Topics, Services, Actions, TF, URDF, and Launch Files.
Help configure and tune Navigation2 (Nav2), SLAM Toolbox, and AMCL under senior guidance.
Assist in integrating and testing hardware sensors, including LiDAR, IMU, Cameras, GPS, and Encoders.
Help interface robotic software with motor controllers and embedded systems.
Debug and troubleshoot robotics software issues in both simulation and physical test environments.
Participate in software testing, validation, and routine performance checks.
Document software modules, test results, and development steps clearly.
Collaborate closely with Hardware, Embedded, AI, and Software Engineering teams.
Use Git effectively for daily version control and collaborative tasks.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
