IBH Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Production & Operations Head to lead our Container & Tanker Fabrication Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing operations, production planning, fabrication processes, quality control, resource management, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities
A mechanical draughtsman in container and tanker fabrication translates mechanical engineer designs into exact, 2D and 3D shop drawings for manufacturing. They ensure all structures—like pressure vessels, ISO tanks, and heavy-duty tankers—are built to precise dimensions, safety standards, and structural load limits.
Lead production and fabrication operations for:
Fuel Tankers
Water Tankers
Container Bodies
Trailers
Tippers
Special Purpose Vehicle Bodies
Blueprint & Layout Generation: Creating 2D and 3D General Arrangement (GA) and detailed manufacturing drawings for tanks, pressure vessels, and structural elements.
Code Compliance: Ensuring all drafting adheres to recognized industry standards like ASME BPVC (for pressure vessels) or API 650 (for atmospheric storage tanks).
Plate Development: Performing cone plate developments, involute developments, and developing flat plate cutting layouts for rolling and bending operations.
Material Take-Offs (MTO): Calculating exact material quantities (steel plates, flanges, pipes, and fittings) and estimating project costs.
Bill of Materials (BOM): Generating comprehensive BOMs and parts lists for procurement and production planning departments.
Detailing & Symboling: Applying correct GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), weld maps, and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) symbols to production drawings.
Structural Integration: Drafting secondary support structures such as platforms, ladders, spiral staircases, and lifting lugs.
Shop Floor Support: Collaborating with the workshop, quality control, and inspection teams to address fabrication issues and process field-erected revisions.
Revision Control: Documenting drawing revisions, managing client/third-party inspector (TPI) comments, and maintaining as-built records.
Monitor fabrication activities including:
Cutting
Bending
Welding
Assembly
Surface Preparation
Final Inspection according to the draft
Ensure production targets, delivery schedules, and quality standards are achieved.
Drive productivity improvement and cost optimization initiatives.
Manage manpower, contractors, supervisors, and shop-floor teams.
Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Quality, and Project teams for smooth execution.
Ensure compliance with CMVR, AIS, OEM standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement initiatives.
Monitor plant performance, inventory utilization, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
